Tom Morin

Senior Consultant

Tom's personal experience leading teams through transformational change gives him a deep understanding of how to achieve sustainable results. He knows that corporate culture — clarity of purpose, alignment around values and behaviors, focus on improving the culture of leadership and collaboration — all drive results more powerfully than a singular focus on strategy and structure. In his experience, healthier organizations where leaders set the tone and create the environment are better places to work and produce high-level, sustainable results.

Tom joined Senn Delaney in 1997. He supported numerous significant client engagements, including USAA, WellPoint, Cardinal Health, The Regence Group, Chase Manhattan Bank, McDonald's Restaurants, Burger King, Bayer Diagnostics, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Commonwealth Edison, Alcoa, Discover, Navistar-International, Toys'R'Us and Hitachi.

With many years of experience in sales, operations and training, Tom brings hands-on expertise from both the corporate and consulting worlds in the areas of leadership, executive coaching, organizational change and teambuilding. Prior to joining Senn Delaney, Tom spent more than 25 years at SBC Communications Inc., a diversified telecommunications corporation. He rose from an entry-level sales position to general manager, where he was recognized as a “turnaround leader,” skilled at improving the performance of poor-performing teams. He managed Pacific Bell Directory's Culture Shift Initiative, a multi-million dollar project aimed at aligning culture with major changes in structure and strategy. He also re-engineered radical improvements in Pacific Bell Directory's sales and coaching models and managed the evolution of its training department to a performance consulting model.

Tom received his Bachelor of Arts in history and English from California State University at Long Beach, where he also earned a secondary teaching credential. He has completed advanced programs in sales management and market management at Columbia University and earned a Special Education teaching credential.

Tom lives with Linda, his bride of more than 40 years, in Northern California's Sonoma County wine country. They have two grown children and two lovely granddaughters. An avid runner and former marathoner, Tom loves loping through the hills above town, open water swimming in small lakes and completing international-length and 70.3-mile triathlons. He enjoys all things outdoors, has built a 16-foot cedar strip canoe and recently handcrafted several custom fly rods.
