Jane E. Black



Jane has more than 25 years of experience partnering with businesses in achieving their strategies and goals though healthy, high-performance culture shaping. She is a trusted partner to CEOs, executive leaders, and organizational teams. Jane’s work is driven by the belief that a deliberate focus on an organization’s culture is critical to measurable business results and competitive advantage.


Her proven success in leading numerous Senn Delaney engagements provides a strong foundation for working with clients to tailor engagements to specific strategic and transformational needs. She has assisted hundreds of leaders to shape their organization’s cultures that enables ever higher performance in a way that is sustainable and enduring.

She has guided executive leaders in a wide variety of industries in developing the corporate vision/purpose and aligning their teams to own the results and to improve spirit and performance. Jane’s experience has shown her that a leader’s authentic ability to inspire passion toward a clear purpose is vital to the organization’s ability to create and sustain the winning behaviors that drive results.


Areas in which she has guided culture-shaping engagements include merger and acquisition integration, improving customer focus, changes in market position, enterprise mindset, business restructuring, and senior teams and process transformation. Her clients include USAA, Molina Healthcare, Loblaw, Boeing, Dynegy, L Brands, ITT, Atmos Energy, Bank One, Halliburton, The Ohio State University, SunEdison, Methodist La Bonheur Healthcare, British Gas Transco, CalPERS, Luxottica, and McDonald's.


Prior to joining Senn Delaney, Jane gained extensive experience in U.S. and global strategy with the American Express Travel Related Services Company.


She holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from Allegheny College and a Master of Sciences in industrial administration from Carnegie-Mellon University. Raised in Ohio, Jane and her husband live in Mill Valley, California. She devotes much of her free time to hiking, adventure travel, and bringing friends and family together over great food and wine.
