"To be successful in the future, organisations must invest in consciously creating cultures that are aligned with strategy and purpose, at the same time providing their employees with a fulfilling and engaging workplace."

Charlie Coode

Vice President of Business Development

Charlie's career has centred on leadership and change management in a variety of industries and several countries. His experience has created in him a deep appreciation for the importance of culture in any organisation's success and a passion for developing individuals, teams and businesses to fully realize their potential.

His early career was spent as an officer in the British Army. For nine years Charlie served in armoured and aviation units in various locations, including Australia, Belize, Canada and Germany.

He then joined General Electric as a project manager in the lighting manufacturing division. Over five years, Charlie was instrumental in recovering profitability through significant restructuring and productivity projects within the division. In 2003, Charlie joined GE's consumer finance business and moved with his family to Prague, Czech Republic. Initially, Charlie held responsibility for strategic change initiatives at both the local and European levels. He went on to lead a consumer finance business in the Czech Republic where he redefined the strategy, increase profitability by 150 percent and improved employee engagement scores to the highest in the company.

Growing experience in leadership and change management provided Charlie with a deeper understanding of the power of organisational culture in creating a sustainable competitive advantage, especially when the culture is aligned effectively with a company's strategy and structure.

Charlie joined the Senn Delaney team in the London office to help executive leadership teams to employ a purposeful approach to their people and the organisational culture to move their company and teams to healthy high performance. He also plays a key role on the Business Development team to increase awareness of Senn Delaney's unique qualifications to companies and leaders in the EMEA region.

Charlie lives in London with his wife, Gabrielle, and their children. In his (limited) spare time, Charlie likes to spend time in the mountains, either skiing with his family or mountaineering with friends. He also keeps fit by running and cycling.
