Byron Jones

Senior Consultant

Byron Jones joined Senn Delaney in 2012, bringing more than 35 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries in a wide variety of senior strategic and operational roles in the engineering, quality, production and supply chain sectors of blue chip organisations to his role as senior consultant.

Prior to joining Senn Delaney's EMEA consulting team in London, Byron worked in a senior global role for GlaxoSmithKline facilitating corporate change programmes across many diverse countries and cultures with the constant ambition of bringing sustainable benefit to the patient or customer.

His experience leading major change programmes includes delivering culture-shaping programmes across complex supply chains to enable improvements in working capital, customer service performance, regulatory compliance and product quality improvements.

A chartered engineer by profession, Byron branched out and held senior leadership positions in production, operational excellence, supply chain, IT and strategy. He was involved in many mergers and acquisitions over the last 15 years. Passionate about empathising with, challenging and supporting leaders, Byron readily builds trust and rapport with all levels in an organisation.

Byron is fascinated with the parallels of developing high-performing teams — whether it is in sport, the arts, or in a commercial or business context. He believes the differentiator for competitive advantage is for leaders to inspire others and to align the energy and behaviours of their organisation to achieve the common purpose.

A sports coach for individuals and teams all his adult life, Byron has advanced his mentoring and coaching style to support senior executives to recognise their need to embrace their personal change, develop a high-performance culture and achieve lasting, sustainable change for themselves and their organisations.

A graduate of the University of Wales, Swansea, Byron studied chemical engineering and microbiology. He is an associated certified coach with the International Coaching Federation and holds a Lean Sigma green belt.

Byron lives with his wife Ann just north of London. He is also golf club director and a trustee of a local health authority. He is a keen golfer, a fanatical Welsh Rugby supporter and has recently been bitten by the cycling bug.
