Boris Diekmann

Vice President

Boris believes that effective leadership is critical to improving business results, individuals' lives and society. His passion is working with executives and senior teams to help them become even more effective individually and together thereby making a positive difference in their work and lives.

Prior to joining Senn Delaney, Boris worked as a consultant helping senior managers and employees at all levels to embrace new ways of working, attitudes, and behaviours in order to effectively implement their strategy. Most recently, Boris has supported clients in the public sector, military, telecommunications, and FMCG. He designed and facilitated uniquely impactful leadership development workshops and employee engagement events with outstanding customer satisfaction.

Prior to that, Boris worked for five years at Siemens in Italy and Germany. As Head of HR Development for the Industrial Services and Solutions Group, he was responsible for the governance of the group's development programmes and strategy. He designed, implemented, and facilitated leadership development programmes for “high potentials” that became best practice across the organisation. He was also in charge of the annual review process for the group's top management incumbents, successors and potentials, and implemented a new career path process for engineers.

Boris is also a visiting lecturer at ESCP Europe Business School. He is a specialist in leadership, team and personal development programmes. He also coaches students on the Master in Management Programme to discover, embrace and fully develop their talents and strengths.

Boris started his career at IBM Consulting. He supported large corporate clients with change management skills during the implementation of global IT projects. In addition, Boris gained further practical management experience as Business Development manager for a Munich-based software start-up.

Clients and colleagues regularly comment on Boris's empathy, dedication, and ability to develop a productive and creative atmosphere in teams. He is capable of creating trust among people from very different cultures and at all organisational levels.

After studying economics in Toulouse, France, Boris studied at the ESCP Europe Business School in Paris, Oxford and Berlin. It was here that his passion for corporate culture blossomed and he dedicated his diploma thesis to the topic. Boris holds a Diplôme d'Etudes Universitaires Générales (D.E.U.G.) with distinction, a French Diplôme de Grande Ecole de Gestion, a German Diplom-Kaufmann, and a European Master in Management with distinction.

He has worked in Italy, France, the UK and Germany. Boris is fluent in English, French, Italian and German which is his native language.

Outside of work, Boris adores jazz, soul and classical music. He also loves singing, plays a little bit of piano, and has recently started to take Aikido classes. He is fascinated by history, social sciences and all aspects of human behaviour. Boris lives in South West London with his wife and son.
