Senior Consultant

William J. (Bill) Conroy is a senior consultant with Senn Delaney, a Heidrick & Struggles company.  He is rejoining the organization after a decade and a half of executive experience in other professional service companies.  He has decades of expertise in leadership communications, organizational development, training, and leading culture change. He joined the firm in 2016, having previously served as a vice president and senior consultant until 2003.

 

Most recently, Bill was a senior organization development consultant with a strategy execution consulting firm specializing in internal communication, employee engagement, and culture change and leadership development. He developed client accounts, designed and conducted training and development programs for clients, and oversaw special projects for the firm, including creative and content development for a proprietary on-line learning resource.

 

Previously Bill also in several leadership roles in US-based companies, including vice president/national sales director at Dynetech Corporation; managing director/business analyst at March Group LLC, a boutique investment bank service company; and director of partner university student recruitment at Pearson EMBANET (formerly Compass Knowledge).

 

In the early years of his career, Bill had the good fortune of working for pioneering quality-management leader, Philip B. Crosby (“Quality Is Free”.)  Over the course of a decade and a half, Bill and his Quality College colleagues revolutionized how business regard and approach the concept of continuous improvement, and they developed a transfer of competency approach that significantly influenced the consulting industry. Bill eventually became the dean of The Quality College, and was able to share the concepts of improvement, culture, and competitive advantage around the world.

 

Bill holds an MBA in management and organization behavior from Pace University GSB, where he was a research fellow, and graduated with highest distinction. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from York College, City University of New York, where he received the Senior Award for Excellence in Economics and Senior Award for Excellence in Political Science, and graduated Magna cum Laude.

 

Bill is a life-long learner who studies Spanish, history, politics and the martial art, Krav Maga. He lives in Maitland, Florida with his wife, Carol. They enjoy spending time with two adult daughters and traveling to faraway places.
