Stephan Schackwitz

Senior Consultant

    Stephan Schackwitz is a senior consultant at culture-shaping firm Senn Delaney, a Heidrick & Struggles company. He joined Senn Delaney in 2012, bringing a broad international background in management consulting and business covering project work in 33 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.  He has helped steer rapid change in large organizations and is an expert in aligning culture to brand in a way that drives differentiation in the market.


Prior to joining Senn Delaney, Stephan worked for nine years for the Deutsche Telekom Group (DT) as a vice president of organizational development and then as a corporate expert for change and transformation strategy for its European operations. In this role, he led numerous mergers and acquisitions, business transformation and employee engagement initiatives in 12 countries. He was most noted for his work around the topic of service culture, rollout of guiding principles (values) and rebranding.


Stephan previously worked in the consulting industry, where he managed projects over a seven-country region, focused on such topics as HR strategy and management audit for multinationals. Prior to his consulting career, he was the director of MBA programs for a regional business school and directed a private undergraduate college. Stephan began his career in the field of diplomacy, serving in the office of President Vaclav Havel following the split of Czechoslovakia.

Stephan studied international relations at the George Washington University and earned his Executive MBA in association with the University of Pittsburg. He spent his childhood between the U.S. and Germany and later adopted the Czech Republic as his home.
