Anne Comer

Senior Consultant

Anne Comer brings 16 years of corporate leadership experience in operations and human resources with specialization in change management, talent management, organizational development and team effectiveness to her role as senior consultant.

Anne joined Senn Delaney in 2013 to focus on her passion for guiding organizations and teams to create a healthy environment in which people can thrive and enjoy the satisfaction of achieving strong and sustainable results. She enjoyed a long and accomplished career at Manulife Financial in Toronto, Canada. Most recently, she was assistant vice president of Human Resources. Anne also served as a member of the Culture Leadership Team at Manulife, working extensively with implementing the Senn Delaney culture-shaping process throughout the company. Previous roles at Manulife included senior human resources consultant; director, selection & development, and director, participant services.

After experiencing the challenges and rewards of driving culture change through the layers of the large financial services organization as a client of Senn Delaney, Anne is excited about sharing her experience and expertise with other organizations.

Anne is skilled at facilitation and working with leaders at all levels to embed culture as a results-oriented leadership practice. She engages leaders throughout the organization to translate culture-shaping goals into practical actions to help teams achieve their purpose and results. As a facilitator, her empathetic style encourages leaders to challenge their assumptions and see the potential impact of their role.

A life-long learner, Anne has been called on several times to lead teams requiring improvement in morale, cohesion or focus, making good use of her strategic and relationship-building skills. She also has extensive experience in change management, both from a practitioner perspective as an operations leader and as a human resources advisor to leaders.

In her earlier career, Anne taught English literature, English and English as a second language in various colleges, vocational schools and language schools.

Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and a Master of Arts degree from York University in Toronto, Ontario, both in English literature. She also earned a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution and is certified in the Facet5 personality assessment.

Anne lives in Toronto, Canada, with her husband, two stepchildren and daughter, with whom she likes to run, ski, cycle and hike. In addition to English, she speaks French and Italian.
